While the international company is constantly opening new stores throughout the country, Starbucks is investing more than $2.5 million in at least five locations, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. In terms of new store openings, the company is working on a new site at 14447 Beach Boulevard in the former home of Wendy’s. The company will redesign the 3,212-square-foot building to 2,873-squar-feet with a patio, costing $1.33 million. Starbucks is also opening a new 2,827-square-foot location at Northeast Beach and Kernan Blvds.

While the company is spending more than half of these funds on new restaurant openings, Starbucks is also renovating three sites in the area. First, the company tplans to renovate its 9661 San Jose Boulevard shop at Old St. Augustine Road for $350,000. Starbucks is also renovating its location at 8635 Blanding Boulevard, No. 24, costing the same amount. Finally, the city is still reviewing a permit application to renovate and expand its space at 13315 Atlantic Boulevard, previously reported by What Now Jax.

There is no exact timeline for these openings, it’s likely the renovation sites will be completed before the new openings. If the three sites to be renovated are completed by the end of summer, customers will be able to try the company’s three new refresher drinks: Frozen Pineapple Passionfruit Lemonade Starbucks Refresher, Frozen Strawberry Acai Lemonade Starbucks Refresher, and Frozen Mango Dragonfruit Lemonade Starbucks Refresher.

“Since Starbucks Refreshers Beverages joined the menu in 2012, our customers and partners (baristas) have creatively customized their beverages, such as adding coconut milk, lemonade or blending with ice,” Matt Thornton, senior beverage developer at Starbucks, said in a statement. “Inspired by these customer and partner creations, we’re excited to bring the new Frozen Lemonade Starbucks Refreshers Beverages to the permanent menu this summer.”
