The company, owned by Bart McKinney, has its flagship location in Waycross, Georgia. McKinney tells What Now Jacksonville he is waiting on a few more pieces of equipment, specifically a cooler and freezer, before opening. He expects to open as soon as late next month but says he hopes to be up and running by late summer. The new buffet will be similar to the company’s other location, except it will be smaller and without a bakery. McKinney also has experience as an owner of a quick-service restaurant.

While this space is much smaller than the company’s other locations, McKinney says he’s already prepared to expand if it’s a success in the community. He tells What Now Jacksonville that he has already secured a lease for a new 7,000-square-foot space in the area in case B Mac’s Buffet is successful and grows out its upcoming location. If McKinney decides to move the buffet to the larger site, he will introduce the bakery to northeast Florida.

When the new country buffet opens later this summer, customers can expect plenty of delicious options. Like most all-you-can-eat buffets, the restaurant will feature a little bit of everything, with a touch more of a country flavor influence. A few of the meats offered at B Mac’s include fried and baked chicken, chicken wings and gizzards, baked spaghetti, smoked ribs, pork butt, pork chop, and more. The restaurant will also offer a handful of sides, desserts, and drinks.
