N. FL Burgers, LLC recently announced it is working on a new site in St. Johns at 345 Beachwalk Shore Drive, Site #100, in Summer 2024. It appears the franchise group is nowhere close to slowing down. Franchise owner David Tennyson tells What Now Jacksonville that he has signed a lease in St. Augustine at Elevation Pointe for a new location, opening sometime next year. Following these first two, the group also plans to build more locations in the area.

In a recent update, Tennyson tells What Now Jacksonville that the company is optimistic the Beachwalk location will be open on July 24, and construction on the Elevation Pointe in St Augustine site is expected to begin on January 25, 2025. The upcoming St. Augustine BurgerFi will be located in a new Elevation Point development alongside a new Publix and Circle K. Tennyson is reportedly doing site work and hopes to take possession of the building in the fourth quarter of this year.

Tennyson is no stranger to franchising, as he has franchised with Subway sandwich shops since 2003. The successful franchisee partnered with Tyler Averdick and Todd Christensen in 2021 to form N. FL Burgers, LLC, to open BurgerFi locations throughout Florida. These aren’t the only brands they are working on bringing to the area, as Tennyson also tells What Now Jacksonville that he hopes to expand Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza to the area and is currently working on an agreement for a new location.
