Previously, What Now Jacksonville reported on Silvercreek Group signing a franchise agreement with Whataburger to open 12 or more locations in the Northeast Florida area by the end of 2027, including new sites at 8325 Southside Boulevard and 6251 103rd Street. Now it appears the group is working on a new location on the site that was the former home of Beauty Max near the Normandy Village Shopping Center, according to a recent plan review application. The opening date is to be determined.

Silvercreek Group is a family-owned Whataburger franchisee led by Markus Garnett. While Whataburger has a handful of corporate-owned locations in the area, Silvercreek Group is the primary operator for northeast Florida. Ten additional locations are expected to open in the next few years, bringing over 600 jobs to the community. The San Antonio-based company currently has 1,000+ restaurants in at least 15 states.

“Whataburger’s commitment to quality customer service is what Silvercreek Group is dedicated to continue to provide,” according to Silvercreek Group’s website. “To serve great food and be known for extraordinary hospitality in every community we serve by going the extra mile to win customers’ hearts every time is of utmost importance. Silvercreek Group pledges to develop Whataburger locations and continue to serve customers with the same pride, care, and love Whataburger has been known for.”
