The franchisee of this location will be Markus Garnett of The Silvercreek Group, LLC, who spoke to What Now Jacksonville about the expansion.
“We have plans to open 12 or more locations in the Northeast Florida area. We are most excited to open our first Whataburger restaurant under the Silvercreek Group franchise and further build the Whataburger Brand. We are a family-owned franchisee that believes strongly in family values, serving delicious food, and providing extraordinary hospitality,” Garnett said.
Known for its large portion size and being open 24 hours a day, Whataburger sticks to a simple menu including burgers and fries, chicken sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, cinnamon rolls, and a few salad options.
The first of 12 locations in Northeast Florida aims to open by August of 2023, according to Garnett.
Whataburger has operated since 1950 when the first location opened in Corpus Christi, Texas. The brand currently operates over 890 locations in the country.
“Each and every Whataburger is still made to order when it’s ordered. We still use 100% pure, never-frozen beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. We still greet our customers with a smile 24 hours a day, seven days a week,” the website states.
