The new 7,500-square-foot standalone restaurant will move into The Pavilion at Durbin Park Development in an undeveloped space in front of the Cinemark, according to the Florida Times-Union. A representative from the company tells What Now Jacksonville the new location will be owned and operated by DBMC Restaurant Group and is expected to open in late Fall 2023. This will be the largest restaurant in Durbin Park, joining several other restaurants, with more on the way.

Walk-On’s was founded by Brandon Landry and Jack Warner, who opened their first location near LSU’s tiger stadium in 2003. Eventually, the company brought on former Saints quarterback Drew Brees as a co-owner in 2015. The group has since opened more than 60 locations across 12 states, with several more in the works. The company already has a handful of sites in Florida, with another new location planned for Pensacola. Walk-On’s signed a new multi-unit franchise agreement in 2019, bringing six units to the greater Tampa area over the next five years.

“Growing our presence in Florida is an exciting chapter for our growth story as we break into untapped markets with new franchise partners,” said Walk-On’s President & COO, Scott Taylor, in a press release. “Our development team is poised for success, and our initial locations throughout the state will no doubt bring success to enthusiastic entrepreneurs ready to join our team. With a proven business model, positive business environment, and open real estate market, Florida is an obvious and attractive area for Walk-On’s continued growth.”
