The new restaurant is currently under development in the Shoppes at Village Walk along Gate Parkway in South Jacksonville, first reported by Jacksonville Daily Record. Co-owners David and Jordan Berman have been working to create what they call ‘not your average taco joint (and proud of it!),’ expected to open in July 2024, according to the company’s website. Alien Taco & Tequila Bar will move into the former home of JJ’s Bistro de Paris.

This will be an excellent spot for the father and son duo to launch their new Mexican concept, adding some variety to the shopping mall that already features Juice Tap, Panda House Chinese Restaurant, and Sippers Coffee House. The other businesses around the area will increase foot traffic for the new restaurant. The Bermans should have no problems operating Alien Taco & Tequila Bar, considering David is an executive chef and ice sculptor from South Florida, while his son, Jordan, is a Navy veteran.

“The party is always on at Alien Taco,” according to the company’s website. “Enjoy the live music, extraterrestrial vibe and try one of our signature cosmic cocktails that can only be found in one place. Our menu is a cosmic blend of flavors inspired by global cuisines, reimagined as delectable tacos and burritos. Tapas that has evolved into a sophisticated cuisine, made cold or hot. With enough options to satisfy any taste bud, these tapas give a while new meaning to the peace sign.
