The new eatery is under construction, but the owners recently released an update via social media regarding the restaurant’s progress. While the owners have been designing this two-story building for a year now, construction is well underway, already about four months in, according to the update posted by the restaurant and St. Marys Georgia Mainstreet. While an exact opening date has yet to be set, the owners hope to open in January 2024.

When this new restaurant opens, customers can expect a fusion of bold flavors and bright colors, offering plenty of delicious Mexican food. The owners are planning to create a welcoming space with an outdoor area that features an astroturf, community tables, and other games and features to get the community together, including cornhole and a firepit. On top of providing a space for the community to come together, the restaurant owners also hope the area will be used for parties, weddings, and other special events.

While the exact menu has yet to be revealed, customers can still expect a variety of delicious Mexican food, including plenty of taco options. The Firefly will also have a full bar with plenty of beer, wine, and liquor options. To help maintain the temperature during the colder months, the owners are installing sliding glass doors in all of the entryways to help control the interior temperature. The restaurant encourages its followers to stay connected on social media for updates.
