American casual dining restaurant chain Huddle House is working on a new location in Live Oak, at 6670 US-129, Site 2-3.
Franchise owner and local lawyer, Ryan Peters of Peters Law Firm LLC, was approved last week by the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation to open a newly constructed Huddle House off the intersection of U.S. Route 129 and Interstate 10. Currently, the area is home to a Marathon gas station, a CAT Scale, a Tesla Supercharger, and a Busy Bee Travel Center. Peters tells What Now Jacksonville that the new restaurant should open around April 2024.
This will be an excellent location for the new Huddle House, considering the next closest site is in Five Points, and there are only seven locations throughout the Jacksonville-Gainesville area. There will also be plenty of freeway accessibility, being right off the freeway. The only downside of this location is that they will have to compete with Waffle House on the other side of Interstate 10. Unlike its competition, Huddle House will offer a wide variety of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options, all at a reasonable price.
