The company’s second site will replace Time Out Sports Grill in mid-June 2023, according to owner Phil Visali. He and co-owner Megan Visali bought Players Grille last year and is already hoping to expand the brand. Phil Visali tells What Now Jacksonville he is also working on a new location in Oakleaf. While Time Out recently closed its doors on May 19, the Beach Boulevard location will remain open. Employees at this site have been offered to work for Players Grille or transfer to Time Out’s other location.

“I kind of just poked the bear to see what would happen, and the bear poked back,” Time Out owner Matt Harris tells Jacksonville Daily Record, who leased the property to the couple 90 days after putting out feelers to the community. “It just kind of worked out. I have 40 parties in the fall on the books there. It worked out well for me, and it worked out well for him.”

When the sports bars open later this year, customers can expect a fun, family-friendly environment with dozens of TVs, a large game room, and plenty of delicious bar food and beer. The original location at 4456 Hendricks Avenue offers just about every food you’d want to eat while watching a game, including burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, fish & chips, wings, shrimp, and salads. To drink, the bar and grill offer an exciting cocktail menu with dozens of beer, wine, and cocktail options.

While Time Out is going down a location with this exchange, Harris is looking for other sites for another Time Out Sports Grill and is considering a fine dining concept, according to JDR. No official deals have been in place, nor have any official locations been found. Harris opened the Mandaris location in early 2022 after issues with its proximity to a school and synagogue. The business has not received any noise complaints since moving the outdoor patio to the front of the building and adding buffering.
