“I’m mostly excited for planting roots in this community, I grew up in this community and have been here for 25 years now. This is my home,” Butt Hutt Smokehouse founder and owner Jacob Bander told What Now Jacksonville.

Known for their pulled pork and beef brisket, Butt Hutt Smokehouse has been operating as a food truck in Jacksonville since 2014 and has acquired a number of accolades for their savory smoked meats.

“We smoke using only pecan wood, season with Florida grown sugar rubs and coffee rubs loaded down with an arsenal of savory spices from South America to India,” according to their website. They also pride themselves in their diverse sauce options, which include Butt Hutt’s signature Liquid Gold, Original Sweet, Spicy Sweet Heat, Southern Mustard and Coconut Curry Honey Mustard.

Butt Hutt Smokehouse has been a local favorite over the years, and has gathered over 12,500 followers on their Instagram page, where they post updates on their food truck schedule.

Once the brick-and-mortar location opens, the famous Butt Hutt food truck will only be available for catering special events.
