The company, founded by entrepreneur Francisco Gavilan, is about to have a big 2024, with plans to open two new locations in the state and expand beyond that. The company will start by opening in Altamonte Springs, at the Altamonte Mall, early next year, joining other upcoming eateries such as Komma Tea & Natural Handmade Dessert and Santis Grill. Following this, The Madre’s Mexican Fresh is expanding to Tallahassee, in the Governor’s Square Mall.

This is just the start for the company, which has its sights on other parts of the state. The Madre’s Mexican Fresh team is currently scouting for locations in Winter Park and Jacksonville, according to Florida Food and Beverage Weekly. A timeline on these isn’t clear yet, but the company will likely search for available sites in malls, considering the first two locations are found at Tanger Outlets Palm Beach and The Mall at Wellington Green. When the company finally reaches Northeast Florida, customers can expect delicious modern and traditional Mexican food with specials and delivery available.

“Offering a combination of modern and traditional Mexican and Tex-Mex food, The Madre’s Mexican Fresh, with locations in West Palm Beach and Wellington, FL, will excite tastebuds with a plethora of healthy and fresh ingredients,” according to the company’s website. “Diners get to be creative and build their own burritos, tacos, quesadillas, savory bowls, and hearty salads. The fast-casual restaurant also features homemade desserts, including caramel flan and a Nutella churro.”
