The popular Florida-based bakery Smallcakes Cupcakery and Creamery recently filed a permit to open a third Jacksonville location at 10111 San Jose Blvd #01. A grand opening date is unknown, though it is likely to open later this year.
There are currently two other location of Smallcakes in Jacksonville, at Beach and Hodges and inside River City Marketplace. The bakery originally opened in 2016, and often hosts fundraisers and donations for local schools in the area in an effort to give back to the community.
According to the online menu, Smallcakes specializes in a variety of flavored cakes daily, including chocolate, vanilla, red velvet, strawberry as well as a few rotating flavors depending on the season. The ice cream offerings come in the same flavors, along with cookies and cream, birthday surprise, and butter pecan.
Smallcakes also offers catering cakes for events like weddings and birthdays.
“We LOVE to celebrate and we are so grateful to help you celebrate your birthdays, anniversaries, victories, milestones, and just because! Our story begins much like others’ stories, but we are passionate about dessert and celebrating sweet memories,” states the Smallcakes website.
Smallcakes will neighbor The Loop restaurant, Five Guys, Le Petit Paris, and Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop inside the shopping complex in the Mandarin neighborhood of Jacksonville.
What Now Jacksonville reached out for comment but did not immediately hear back.
