Owner Jack Lin is awaiting approval of a plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. An exact opening date has yet to be revealed. However, the restaurant is still a few months away from opening, considering the restaurant’s social media posted photos of preliminary construction starting in late August. When LanJie Hot Pot & BBQ opens, customers can expect a fun-generating restaurant featuring a hot pot and Korean BBQ experience.

Lin started working on this restaurant at the beginning of the year, making the official announcement in April, according to the company’s Facebook. Since then, he has taken the community feedback into great consideration. One example of this is the company posting its renderings of the restaurant to Facebook in hopes of additional input. On top of the community involvement, the restaurants are preparing the area for this new concept by posting videos explaining what hot pot is. Before this, Lin worked at One Third Asian House.

The new restaurant will sit near the Cobblestone Village Shopping Mall, making this an excellent spot for its debut. On top of only having to compete with Tokyo Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar and a handful of chain restaurants, LanJie Hot Pot & BBQ will see plenty of foot traffic from other nearby businesses. It is unclear exactly where this restaurant will sit, considering the address is for Dollar Tree, which is still operating.
