The new restaurant will move into the former home of B & T Coins Militaria, according to a plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Owner Alba Melendez tells What Now Jacksonville that his new restaurant is expected to open early next year, around February. When it opens, customers can expect a variety of smoothies, milkshakes, subs, and sandwiches.

This new restaurant has a lot going for it to make it successful. For one, it will be the only eating establishment in the building, sharing the space with USA Discount Food Store, El Tejano, and other retailers. In fact, the only competition Sabores El Manna will have will be with Pupuseria Pineda’s across the street. On top of that, down the road, there are a handful of chain restaurants, making this one of the more unique options in the area.

If the lack of competition wasn’t enough to see this restaurant succeed, it will have plenty of foot traffic coming from the nearby businesses in the area. Sabores El Manna will sit near Hogan-Spring Glen Elementary School and Hope Academy, making this an easy option for parents waiting to pick up their kids. Finally, the restaurant will win over customers in the area by using fresh ingredients whenever possible.
