The two restaurants are getting ready to open in The Pavilion at Durbin Park, according to a plan review application recently submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Jax Mochinut Corporation plans to open the two concepts side by side, each with its own style. This new location is reported to open around February 2024, according to Florida Food and Beverage Weekly. The application lists the restaurant coming to Suite 103, but Chicken Salad Chick recently opened there.

Kinya Ramen is a franchise that offers various ramen and sushi, the former made with rich, creamy broth that is full of flavor. On top of the many different Japanese food options, the restaurant also offers sushi tacos and yakitori. The company has a handful of locations up north, but only one other site in Florida is found in Gainesville. This will be the first Kinya Ramen in Jacksonville.

Mochinut, on the other hand, announced earlier this year that the company would be making its debut in Beachwood Plaza at 11757 Beach Boulevard, Site 757-9. The company offers a variety of Mochi donuts, which originated from Hawaii and combine American doughnuts and Japanese mochi. On top of the delicious sweets, Mochinut also offers Japanese hot dogs and various drinks. The two Japanese concepts will give The Pavilion at Durbin Park a new flavor option for customers.
