The company’s newest location will move into the Pavilion at Durbin Park, according to Public Records from the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. A representative from the company tells What Now Jacksonville that the new Chicken Salad Chicken will be corporate-owned but couldn’t provide an exact opening date. The company has four other locations in southeast Jacksonville: Baymeadows, Town Center, Galleria, and St. Augustine.

Chicken Salad Chick was founded in 2008 by Stacy Brown and her husband, Kevin, after selling homemade chicken salad door-to-door until the health department shut them down. The company has since begun franchising and is now partially owned by private equity firm Brentwood Associates. Customers can expect a dozen chicken salad and pimento cheese options served with crackers, in a leafy green salad, on bread, or with lettuce as a scoop. Chicken Salad Chicken also offers various salads, sides, signature salads, and more.

“Under the leadership of CEO Scott Deviney, franchising has taken off in a major way,” according to the company’s website. “Chicken Salad Chick boasts over 225 restaurants today with plans to exceed 250 locations or more, including additional states in 2023. We are offering crave-able, made-from-scratch meals served from the heart to guests throughout the South and are well on our way to be “America’s Favorite Place for Chicken Salad.”
