A new restaurant will be replacing the former Crispers at 620 Commerce Center Dr. #101. El Cabo Restaurant was issued a permit in Dec. 2022 to start renovations inside the restaurant space.
Though there is no confirmed timeline for a grand opening, the restaurant will likely be open around summer or later this year, pending construction and permits are completed in a timely manner.
The owner of the restaurant is listed as Romulo Pangan Gomez. What Now Jacksonville reached out for comment, but did not immediately hear back.
According to permits, the space will be 5,450-square-feet and include a full bar and patio seating, with 160 seats total. No exterior changes will be made, other than signage.
El Cabo will be located near many neighboring businesses including Fuji Sushi, Cracker Barrel, Red Lobster, Zaxby’s, Miami Grill and KFC near the Regency Square Mall.
At the moment, the restaurant does not yet have a website or social media pages set up.
The menu of El Cabo Restaurant is expected to serve a variety of traditional Mexican dishes such as enchiladas, burritos, quesadillas and tacos. The restaurant will include a full bar as well.
