The Downtown Development Review Board is currently reviewing the company’s newest location to move into the former home of Liddy’s Machine Shop, according to Jacksonville Daily Records. The plan involves 7,000 square feet of retail space featuring wine, cheese, charcuterie, and a wine bar. Another 3,000 square feet will be used for two separate tenant retail businesses. Dedalus Wine, led by founder and CEO Jason Zuliani, has five locations in Vermont and one in Boulder, Colorado.

If the DDRB approves of the business’ newest location, customers can expect a plethora of cheese, wine, and other items for a charcuterie board. While most of these items are intended to be enjoyed at home, the establishment will have a space to enjoy some wine and cheese in-house. Dedalus Wine also offers multiple wine and market clubs, where members get two bottles of wine and 10 percent off all in-store purchases. While this is only available at the Vermont locations, there’s a chance the company will bring this concept to Jacksonville.

“We’re committed to defining a new wine culture,” according to the company’s website. “One that closes the gap between wine growers and wine drinkers. A culture that celebrates the simple, sustaining pleasures of the table and does away with the old gatekeepers. To do this, we build beautiful, warm spaces and connected experiences that orbit wine. We build passionate teams that bring it into your life, show you how to use it, explore it, and enjoy it. They work to cultivate our shared understanding of what makes good wine good.”
