Previously, What Now Media Group reported on the Lichte family, which includes parents Donald and Lori and their kids, Joe and Sophia, opening a new location at 4768 Hodges Blvd. Initially, the franchise group hoped to open the site in Fall 2023, but experienced a few delays. The official opening date is now June 17, but that’s just the beginning for the Lichte family, who are currently searching for a fourth location in Jacksonville. The exact areas that are being scouted are unknown.

This is an impressive achievement for the Lichte family, Culver’s first area franchisee as GateLite3 LLC, who opened a restaurant in Middleburg in July 2019. The family also owns a location in Jacksonville off Gate Parkway near Ikea at 7818 Gate Parkway. Once the franchise owners open their third location, the 4,571-square-foot location will have 99 seats inside. Wisconsin-based McGann Construction built the new Culver’s on Hodges Boulevard.

“Hospitality has always been near and dear to our hearts,” according to the company’s website. “So, dining in or on the go, we make a point of treating you the way we’d want to be treated. From holding a door to asking about your meal, it’s our pleasure to serve you – and we do it with a smile. Our dedication to hospitality goes back to Craig’s mother, Ruth Culver, who had a special way about her that made every guest who visited Culver’s feel welcomed like a guest in her home. Carrying on her legacy continues to be our truest measure of success, whether in our first restaurant in Sauk City or one of the 900-plus Culver’s locations across the United States.”
