The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Stride Fitness in the Gates of Beach Boulevard, according to Intel received by What Now Jacksonville. Owner Melissa Endrina tells What Now Jacksonville that she just recently signed a lease for the 1,950-square-foot space and hopes to open in November 2024. When it opens, customers can expect delectable bubble waffle creations, the very best Hawaiian-grown coffee, boba, specialty teas, and other island treats.

The new eatery will be between Wild Ivy Salon and Ruff Edges Salon in Building 3 of the development, which also includes Donatos Pizza, Le Dream Nail Salon, and Focus Fitness. According to a leasing brochure, a 1,625-square-foot space is still available in the building. The new location of Aloha Waffle Bar will be excellent for the company, considering there are very few sweet treat options and cafes in the shopping center other than Jeremiah’s Italian Ice and 1928 Cuban Bistro.

“You can experience our light, flaky gourmet bubble waffles, each carefully handcrafted just for you,” according to the company’s website. “No preservatives or box mixes are ever used; each waffle is made from scratch with love and attention. Our Boba Tea is made with Jasmine, Assam, and Earl Grey Teas. We never use cheaper alternatives like high fructose corn syrup. Our tapioca pearls are cooked throughout the day to ensure optimal chewiness. Savor the rich taste of our Kona Coffee, grown in volcanic soil. Each coffee bean is meticulously handpicked for size and ripeness before being roasted and sent directly from Hawaii’s magnificent Big Island right to us overnight!”
