A new donut shop will be coming to Jacksonville by the springtime.
Island Donut is expanding to Atlantic Beach and aims to open around March at 363 Atlantic Blvd Units 6-7 inside of the Shoppes of Northshore complex. A grand-opening date has not yet been determined.
“It’s a fantastic community of friendly faces with so many locally owned businesses which we love and our neighbors in the plaza have been so enthusiastic,” owner Amanda Iannella told What Now Jacksonville in an email.
Island Donut is known for their beach aesthetic and unique island-inspired flavored donuts, such as guava filled and pineapple, along with classics like glazed, maple and strawberry frosted, according to their menu.
“While we are known for the delicious donuts, we offer fresh-brewed coffee using Screaming Peacock beans and the menu continues to expand, offering breakfast sandwiches and our newest addition, avocado toast. We feel so lucky to join the AB community and can’t wait until we open,” Iannella told What Now Jacksonville.
This will only be the second location from the business, however the future goal is more growth across Florida.
“Since the opening of the first location in St. Augustine two years ago, the response has been amazing. Both locals and visitors from out of town have been so supportive and we couldn’t be more excited about the opening of the second location in Atlantic Beach,” Iannella said.
