The company’s fifth Jacksonville site was recently announced as the newest tenant coming to the shopping center, along with Baptist Health, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. Developers plan to renovate the 24,650-square-foot space, once home to Office Depot, and relocate two Mandarin medical offices, hopefully in early 2024. There aren’t many details regarding the new Another Broken Egg Cafe other than a lease has been signed. A company representative tells What Now this site will be corporate-owned.

“We are in talks with several prospects for this space, and have already signed a breakfast/lunch restaurant, Another Broken Egg,” Patrick McKinley, Jacksonville-based Regency Centers Corp. vice president and market officer, tells JDR.

The shopping center is about 17.3 acres with almost 140,000 square feet of space. Regency Centers, the owners of Mandarin Landing, said there will also be parking lot modification and landscape changes to improve customer connectivity and enhance traffic patterns “for easily and safely visiting shops and restaurants.” McKinley says the redevelopment will include demolishing the space next to the former Office Depot, which closed in November 2020. More restaurants are expected to be announced soon.

When the new breakfast spot opens, customers can expect chef-inspired breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes, as well as seasonal selections such as Boston cream pancakes, street corn scrambler, and Guava French toast. The restaurant also offers hand-crafted cocktails, spiked cold brews, mimosas, and a full bar. Another Broken Egg Cafe owns and franchises over 70 locations across 14 states, with 24 in Florida, including one in the works in The Villages.
