The all-day breakfast restaurant has recently been announced as the newest tenant coming to the Oakleaf Plantation area as part of Phase 2, according to a local Facebook group. The new Waffle House has no exact opening date, but it will be located on the other side of the expressway, past the roundabout. Phase 1 is across from the Target. There are still two more phases to be rolled out in this development. Oakleaf Plantation is a 6,400-acre planned community in unincorporated Clay County.

Waffle House already has multiple locations spread out across greater Jacksonville, with at least 34 in Northeast Florida and over 170 in the state. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, considering the company has nearly 2,000 locations throughout the country—without even having to expand into the West Coast. It’s no surprise Waffle House continues to grow, as the company has always specialized in wholesome service matched with delicious breakfast and lunch options.

“Waffle House was founded on the principles of providing the friendliest service in town while also offering the opportunity for rewarding and quality careers,” according to the company’s website. “Today, Waffle House continues to provide great career opportunities for more than 40,000 Associates. These Associates are “Waffle House” to their Customers. They provide their Customers with a unique experience that keeps them coming back for more.”
