The company’s second site will open in the SilverLeaf Commons shopping center, next to the Silverleaf Village, according to a recent Plan Review Application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. While there are already a handful of tenants at this shopping center, including Rustica Earth Sea and Fire, Rita’s Italian Ice, and Chop Shop Artisan Butcher, owner Andres Orozco tells What Now Jacksonville that the new location is expected to open at the end of April 2024.

This is a massive achievement for the owners, considering they launched the restaurants in Jacksonville at 11018 Old St Augustine Road in March 2014. Almost an entire decade later, the family-owned restaurant is getting ready to open its second location. When it opens, customers can expect a simple yet extensive menu with a handful of appetizers, arepas, meat options, and sides. On top of a handful of natural juices, sodas, and coffee, the restaurant also offers a beer selection. The new Salento Steakhouse will be 4,125 square-feet, sitting across from Rustica.

“We come from the land where the wax palm grows where the best coffee grows,” according to the company’s website. “There is a place where the authentic flavors of the colombian grill mix. We want to invite you to discover the traditional flavor from our land. In the summer of 2013, we started to think about this dream of bringing a place where to gather with family and friends in Jacksonville, FL, showcasing some of the traditional Colombian flavors. We finally opened our doors in March of 2014. Since then, We’ve been working very hard to please all tastes.”
