Franchise owner Frank Bergren recently announced he is opening several Jersey Mike’s Subs locations in central and northern Florida, according to Florida Food and Beverage Weekly. While there are sites throughout the area, the franchisee plans to open a new location in St. Augustine at 70 Silver Frst Drive. The new site will sit in a strip mall in SilverLeaf, joining Rustica Earth Sea Fire, Tersak’s Family Martial Arts Academy, Silver Forest Dental, and more.

The Jersey Mike’s Subs franchisee is also opening a new location at River City Marketplace at 725 Nautica Dr #101, according to a recent plan review submitted to the Florida Department of Professional Business & Regulation. The sandwich shop will likely move into the former home of The Bronze Effect Tanning Salon, next to Peterbrooke Chocolatier River City. There is no exact timeline for these new locations, but Bergren plans to open the new sites throughout next year.

Beyond the greater Jacksonville area, Bergren is planning several new locations in Florida, starting with the Orlando area at 8675 Fenton Street and 1651 Future Way. Next year, the franchisee plans to open a new location in St. Petersburg Beach at 4695 Gulf Boulevard and 2424 Gulf to Bay Boulevard in Clearwater. Earlier this year, Bergren celebrated the grand opening of his Largo unit on October 4 at 10500 Ulmerton Rd Suite 208.
