Flo’s Premium Ice Cream, a premium ice cream shop in Ponte Vedra Beach, is preparing to open a new location at 630 E Twincourt Trail Ste 105.
The company’s second location is expected to open later this year off of International Golf Parkway and Interstate 95, according to a recent plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. The request is still being processed, but the new location will move into a building with Parlor Doughnuts and other businesses. The ice cream shop offers 24 different homemade flavors. There is no exact opening date for the new location.
Owner Robin Crisp first opened in 2021 at 880 A1A N Ste. 11 in Ponte Vedra Beach. While the owner was daring enough to open the ice cream shop during the pandemic, it has paid off, and the business is one of the best ice cream shops in the area. On top of serving two dozen delicious handmade flavors, Flo’s Premium Ice Cream also offers a variety of ice cream pies and other sweets. Last month, the company offered five different ice cream pies, including Peppermint Oreo, Red Velvet Oreo, Chocolate Chip, White Chocolate Peppermint, and Peanut Butter Cup.
“We’ve wanted to open an ice cream shop for 15 years,” Crisp told PVB Mom after opening in Ponte Vedra Beach. “I came out of “retirement” after 20 years and was managing Talbots clothing store. I decided if I’m running a store, it should be my own! Ice Cream has always been our family’s thing. We’ve traveled all around the world, and we would always make a point to check out local places, getting ideas, seeing what we liked, what we didn’t, checking out product for quality and taste, the setup, shop atmosphere, etc. It started when visiting St. Augustine for our annual beach vacation and there was no ice cream on the island years ago. Every year, we’d say we should do it, and finally, the time was right, and we went for it!”
