Saucy chicken chain Zaxby’s opened its newest location in St. Augustine, Florida at 5350 State Rd. 16. The new Zaxby’s, owned and operated by Contentment Golf Parkway, LLC, opened for both drive-thru and dine-in on Monday, Feb. 26.
“We are excited to be in this part of town and provide great food to the wonderful Mill Creek area,” said David Matthew Strickland, owner of Contentment Golf Parkway, LLC in a statement. “Our goal is to share our passion for ‘flavor-full’ chicken with the community and get involved in area events including weekly spirit nights for neighboring schools.”
The new Zaxby’s location has a seating capacity of 56 guests and a 3,400 square feet layout featuring Zaxby’s classic white farmhouse design. The kitchen is stacked with state-of-the-art appliances to provide guests the highest quality of food. The restaurant is also equipped with two drive-thru lanes and a drive-thru walk out door along with the newest digital boards to expedite service.
For even faster service, customers may also order ahead and request curbside pickup online via Zaxbys.com as well as through the Zaxby’s app available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Ordering delivery is also available through DoorDash, GrubHub and UberEats.
Zaxby’s serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces. The menu also features the Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries, Zaxby’s fan-favorite Fried Pickles and its most recently added LTO–the Asian Zensation Zalad. The Zalad features Zaxby’s fried Chicken Fingerz or grilled chicken on freshly tossed mixed greens, red cabbage, carrots and crispy wonton strips, topped with Asian slaw and drizzled with a honey sesame Teriyaki glaze starting at $9.95. The Asian Zensation Zalad is served with citrus vinaigrette dressing plus Zaxby’s hand-rolled Veggie Egg Roll. Zaxby’s customers can also get two Egg Rolls as a stand-alone side for just $3.00. This snackable item is still available at participating locations for a limited time.*
Strickland, a locally-based franchisee, contracted St. Augustine-based company Kaneco Construction to build the new restaurant, which will be the franchise’s sixth Zaxby’s in the area. The new location is offering up to 45 job opportunities to the community.
