The Nashville-based company made its Jacksonville debut in July 2022 when it opened at Ortega Park in West Jacksonville. Two more locations followed, but now local franchisees Jimmy and Andrea Plowden are opening more sites throughout the area. To start, the duo will open a new location at 13760 Old St. Augustine Road in Shoppes at Bartram Park, replacing Edible Arrangements, according to Jacksonville Daily Record.

The city is reviewing a permit application for the 1,600 square feet of space, but it is expected to open at the end of October. This is just the first of many new locations for the duo, who are also planning to open new locations in St. Johns, Orange Park, and St. Augustine. While the owners have yet to secure a location for these sites, they are expected to open sometime next year. A new location is planned for Fernandina Beach but will be owned by a different franchisee. The Plowdens said they chose the sites based on demographics, proximity to other eateries, and shopping.

“As most are aware, Jacksonville is the largest city by land mass in the United States. Due to this, many people tend to shop and eat in the area they reside,” Plowden tells JDR. “Being able to offer our delicious desserts to our customers within a reasonable distance allows individuals in every pocket of Northeast Florida to enjoy The Peach Cobbler Factory.”

When these new locations open in the future, customers can expect a variety of desserts within the family-style eatery, including cobbler, cinnamon rolls, cookies, Belgian waffles, banana pudding, and more. To drink, the company offers tea and coffee options, such as cold brew. The Peach Cobbler celebrated its 10th anniversary this year and has opened 51 locations in 14 states and the District of Columbia, with more coming soon. Florida expects to open another 26 more locations in the state, according to the company’s website.
