The company’s newest location will move into a vacant lot between O’Reilly Auto Parts and Dollar General, according to a recent plan review application submitted to the Florida Departments of Business & Professional Regulation. This is the latest location from the company, which announced the first Jacksonville location earlier this year through Kalo Restaurant Group LLC, which plans to open 12 new Slim Chicken locations in Jacksonville.

While the first Slim Chickens has yet to open in the Glen Kernan Park area, it will be the company’s first location in Northeast Florida, with the following closest sites in the Tallahassee area. The Arkansas-based company celebrated its 20th anniversary this year and has since opened 186 locations throughout the country with the help of franchising. Most of the company’s locations in Florida are in the Tampa area and Florida’s Panhandle.

When the new Lake Forest site opens next year, customers can expect various chicken options, including tenders, wings, sandwiches, salads, wraps, and more. This is just the first of many new locations the company plans to open in the coming months. On top of ten more locations coming to Jacksonville, Slim Chickens is also planning to open new sites in Alabama, New Mexico, Arkansas, South Carolina, Kentucky, Georgia, and Indiana, according to the company’s website.
