The sandwich specialists already have locations in Tallahassee and two in South Florida, making this the first PrimoHoagies in the Northeast Florida area. Franchise owner William Kulick tells What Now Jacksonville he expects this new location to open in March 2024, offering a variety of old-fashioned-style Italian specialty sandwiches made with fresh ingredients. The company is also opening new sites in Stuart, FL, under a different franchise owner.

This is just the beginning for the company, which has several new locations coming to the United States, including one in New Jersey, two in New York, five in Pennsylvania, and one in Texas. The company opened its newest site in New Orleans at the end of November, offering a free primo-sized hoagie to the first 100 guests of the day and offering 50 percent off all day for Primo Perks rewards members. It’s unclear if the new Gainesville location will do something similar for its grand opening early next year.

PrimoHoagies was founded in 1992 by Richard and Colleen Neigre and now has over 95 locations throughout eight states with the help of franchising. When the new Gainesville location opens, customers can expect a variety of sandwiches, such as the Italian with prosciutto and provolone, hot capicola, and natural casing Genoa salami. Kulick should be fine getting customers in its doors, only having to compete with Pop-A-Top Sandwich Shop and Bingo Deli & Pub nearby.
