A brand new ramen eatery, Fusion Ramen, is getting ready to debut in Yulee, located at 463867 State Road 200, Unit #5.
The company is looking to open the new restaurant in the Villages of Amelia shopping center, between Great Clips and EyeEnvy, according to a recent plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Fusion Ramen will move into the former home of Barberitos Southwestern Grille & Cantina later this year, as the application from Fusion Ye Ramen 168 LLC, led by Ye Quang, is still in process.
This will be an excellent location for the company’s debut, considering there are no Ramen restaurants in the shopping center area, only a handful of sushi restaurants, including Sushi House and Fancy Sushi and Grill. While there are a few restaurants in the county that have ramen on the menu, none are focused on the Japanese dish exclusively. On top of the limited competition, a handful of other businesses and retailers in the area will bring in more foot traffic for Fusion Ramen.
It isn’t clear what the new restaurant will offer, but based on the name, one can assume there will be a handful of ramen options, with a few fusion options. Some examples of fusion ramen include coconut Thai and Mexican ramen, featuring unique ingredients not often found in the dish. Customers can also expect a variety of appetizers and possibly some alcoholic options.
