The company owners recently submitted a plan review application to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation to open a new food truck in Northeast Florida. While the city is still processing the application and other permits, the owners are busy getting the food truck completed. Mimi and Poppi’s Cajun Kitchen is set to debut at the Deep Creek Game Farm Swaps in Interlachen at 412 County Rd 315 South this March, according to the company’s Facebook.

This isn’t the first time Mimi and Poppi’s Cajun Kitchen has operated in Northeast Florida. Before taking a short break to focus on their other company, a semi-truck business, the food truck operated as a pop-up throughout the area. In this format, the company was able to get some local attention by setting up at Deep Creek Game Farm and the Farmer’s Market at Midway. Now, the company will move forward as a food truck, offering a variety of beignets, jambalaya egg rolls, and king cakes.

“Hey, all our Cajun Kitchen fans!!! After a somewhat brief hiatus, I am happy to announce we have put a deposit down on our food trailer, and we are excited to be getting back into action!!” according to the owners of Mimi and Poppi’s Cajun Kitchen, who made the announcement last September on social media. “Stay tuned. We will be updating you on progress and will let you know our first grand opening setup.” The company owner also recently commented on a post this week, saying, “As soon as we get our permits, we will set up wherever we can.”
