The new site, which is roughly 2,500 square feet, will open near the Town & Country Shopping Center in College Park at northeast Arlington Expressway and University Boulevard, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. Conie’s Ice Cream was recently announced as the newest tenant of the development, along with a new Donatos Pizza next door. Permits are currently being reviewed for both eateries. The exact opening dates of these two businesses are unknown.

“The neighborhood said they wanted more and better food options, and that has been our main focus,” JWB Real Estate Capital President Alex Sifakis told JDR. “Donatos and Conie’s are only the first couple.”

While it’s unknown when the two new tenants will open, the 43,615-square-foot Winn Dixie that will anchor the development is progressing on its site. Sifakis tells JDR at the beginning of the month that JWB expects to have all of the parking lot, landscaping, and facade work done by October, with the store opening a few months after that. When the new Conie’s Ice Cream opens, customers can expect over 33 shakes and sundae flavors, along with plenty of other sweet treats.

“We offer a Sweet Treat for everyone,” according to the company’s website. “Our ice cream is kosher and comes with various choices, including sugar-free options, vegan, and gluten-free. We also have many toppings to choose from so that you may create an old fashion treat or create a new favorite.”
