The company is set to open in a standalone building next to the Dawn Wellness Center, near the Gainesville Plaza, according to a recent plan review application submitted to the Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation. There is no exact timeline for the opening, but customers can expect a variety of gelato options, which are made with fresh homemade ice cream with unfiltered organic honey instead of using soft serve.

B’z Gelati is the project of founder Brandon Grabhorn, an Orlando native who attended the University of Florida. After graduating from UF, he purchased the machines and began experimenting with ice cream and Italian ice recipes, and the idea was born. B’z Gelati offers ten flavors of Ice and two flavors of Ice Cream, including dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan options. All recipes have been developed in-house and carefully crafted for a dynamic experience.

“B’z sweat treats are homemade with the finest natural ingredients,” according to the company’s website. “Our Italian Ice is smooth, fresh, and made with real fruit. Our homemade Ice Cream is rich and delicious, made fresh with all-natural dairy, organic honey, and the finest vanilla bean. Our Chocolate has superb quality cocoa and fresh dairy, leading many to say it’s the best Chocolate Ice Cream they have ever tasted. Gelati is the wonderful combination of layered Italian Ice and Ice Cream, a true explosion of flavors that will keep you craving more.”
