The new bar is set to move into the former home of LionShare Cowork in the Big Lots-anchored Pablo Station, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. This is the latest from owner Robert Tilka, one of the partners in Pierre’s LLC, the ownership group that bought Pete’s Bar in late 2021. The city is reviewing a building permit application for the 7,044-square-foot project, so there is no exact timeline for Kicker’s, which will have a mechanical bull and a boot-shaped bar, according to plans.

The new country-themed bar will be one of many new tenants coming to the strip mall. Next to the upcoming Kicker’s is the former home of La Nopalera, and a few doors down is the now-closed Beaches Super Buffet. It’s unclear what will replace these closed businesses, but soon, the area will be full of new tenants and concepts.

This will be an excellent location for Kicker’s, considering this will be the only country-themed bar in the area. While Beach Boulevard is covered with other bars and similar concepts, such as The Pub, Miller’s Ale House, and more, none are geared toward country fans. In the surrounding shopping district, Kicker’s will have to compete with La Costa Mexican Cantina and Maharlika Karaoke Bar & Grill for the best place to get a drink. What will set Kicker’s apart from the rest will be its mechanic bull.
