The company’s third Florida site is set to move to the city’s downtown area later this year, according to a representative from the company, who tells What Now Jacksonville that the new Gainesville location will open on August 15. This is the latest from Junyang Zhao, owner of YH Restaurant Group, which is also opening Bakery 1908 in Jacksonville later this year. This is the first of many new locations for Kyuramen, hoping to make Japanese cuisine more affordable and authentic ramen more accessible to all.

Since opening its first location in Flushing in September 2019, Kyuramen has grown to 29 stores nationwide, with 15 confirmed franchise locations expected to open in the second half of 2024. An estimated 80-100 stores will be open in 2024, and 200 stores will be open by 2025, including internationally in Canada and Europe, according to the representative. Last year, Kyuramen’s revenue surpassed $40 million, over $1.5 million per store on average.

YH Restaurant Group, on the other hand, has been slowly taking over Northeast Florida with its impressive portfolio, which includes Sweet Buns Bakery, Yummy House, YH Seafood Clubhouse, Pho 813, Kyuramen, and YHS China Bistro. This year alone, the company has launched two successful franchises with Shoo Loong Kan and La Diperieand and opened the first locations of Dim Sum House and YH Dim Sum.

“YH Restaurant Group is focused on providing delicious and authentic Asian cuisine to the USA,” according to the company’s website. “Established in 2010, we have since expanded all across Florida with various styles, brands, and multiple locations. With several different restaurants under the YHFoodGroup umbrella, we have years of experience working in the food and hospitality industry. Our restaurants are some of the most popular Asian cuisines loved by locals and travelers alike.”
