The company had recently signed a lease to open a second location within the Shoppes of St. Johns Parkway, moving into the former home of X-Treme Wings, according to Jacksonville Daily Record. The 4,487-square-foot restaurant is expected to open later this year, making it the second time the company has opened in a busy shopping center. The Jacksonville-based Tex-Mex Cantina opened its first location in 2017 in the Southpoint area before moving to St. Johns Town Center.

When Fresh-Mex & Co. opens its second location later this year, customers can expect a variety of Mexican classics, including starters, quesadillas, fajitas, chimichangas, salads, tacos, burritos, and more. For dessert, the restaurant offers delicious churros served with chocolate dip. In addition to plenty of fountain drinks, Fresh-Mex & Co. also has a full bar with a variety of alcoholic options. The new location is expected to have the same menu and excellent customer service as the first site.

“At Fresh-Mex & Co., We focus on an overall experience and not only the value of good food served fast,” according to the company’s website. “Fresh-Mex & Co. is a Tex-Mex cantina inspired by the New York restaurant scene. Our ingredients are high quality, often local, usually healthy, and minus the additives, preservatives, and chemicals. Our long-term goals are not simply profit-driven; we focus on community development and investment in suppliers and vendors who create sustainable, whole foods.”
