The company will have its official grand opening on Friday, July 12th, at the Butler Shopping Center, according to a press release from Butler Enterprises. This is the latest from local entrepreneurs Tim Jensen, Jesse Allen, Andrew Hamerling, and Tom Devine, who plan to open at least five locations in Jacksonville and Gainesville over the next few years. The group also owns and operates several Jersey Mike’s locations in the area.

The new Dave’s Hot Chicken will be open from Sunday to Thursday, 11:00 am to 11:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday, 11:00 am to 12:00 am. It’s yet to be determined where the other locations will be in Northwest Florida, but the development is impressive for the company, founded by Arman Oganesyan and Dave Kopushyan, along with brothers Tommy and Gary Rubenyan, in early 2017.

The company initially opened as a parking lot pop-up. Since then, the brand has exploded in popularity and now has over 160 locations in the United States and Canada. Dave’s Hot Chicken had an incredible last year, as its sales grew nearly 100%, according to Restaurant Business Magazine. This year, the company is hoping to open at least 275 new locations by the end of the year, with about 950 new restaurants in development in total.
