Saucy chicken chain Zaxbys is celebrating the opening of its newest drive-thru only location in Jacksonville, Florida. Located at 9031 New Kings Rd., the new Zaxbys is owned and operated by Cash Jaz, Inc. and started serving customers via drive-thru and take-out orders only on November 18.
“As residents of Duval County, we’re excited to introduce the first to-go-only Zaxbys restaurant to Florida,” said Aaron and Tihesha Mitchell, franchise owners and operators of Cash Jaz, Inc in a statement. “As we unveil this reimagined Zaxbys location, we’re looking forward to making a lasting impact on the community as a valued neighbor by partnering with local schools and organizations to give back.”
Spanning 2,004 square feet, the restaurant includes a drive-thru for expedited service, as well as a walk-up window for guests to place take-out orders. This location is the next in Zaxbys series of to-go-only concepts, catering to the heightened consumer demand for food-to-go, which is expected to increase in the coming years. For even faster service, customers may also order ahead online via zaxbys.com as well as through the Zaxbys app for curbside pickup. The app is available for download on Google Play and the App Store. Ordering for delivery is also available directly through the app, as well as through UberEats, DoorDash and Grubhub.
Zaxbys serves fresh, prepared-at-order Chicken Fingerz and wings tossed in a variety of bold and spicy sauces, as well as its wildly popular Chicken Bacon Ranch Loaded Fries and the brand’s fan-favorite Fried Pickles. Most recently, Zaxbys has leveled up its menu with newly designed Zax Packz to house the ultimate meals-on-the-go in one box together, available in two variations including Chicken Fingerz™ Zax Packz and Boneless Wings Zax Packz. Zaxbys has also refreshed its core menu to include the return of four fan-favorite, limited-time offerings — The Asian Zensation Zalad™, Veggie Egg Rolls, The Blue Zalad, and Fried Cheesecake Bites — as permanent menu items available at all locations.
To develop its first Zaxbys location, Cash Jaz, Inc. worked with Glennville, Georgia-based Hat Creek Construction. The new restaurant is expected to bring approximately 50 new employment opportunities to Duval County.
