The company has locations in 14 states, with at least nine more sites coming soon, and is searching for potential places to land in Northeast Florida. Tupelo Honey is currently negotiating a lease within the Shops at Beachwalk, according to an offering memorandum. If a lease is secured, the new location will sit between Daybreak Market and The Cover at Beachwalk. Whether or not this comes to fruition, it proves the company is interested in expanding its footprint into Florida for the first time.
Tupelo Honey would sit near several other new businesses and eateries coming to the Shops at Beachwalk. Previously, What Now Jacksonville reported on the additions of Panera Bread, BurgerFi, Starbucks, and Chipotle to the area. That’s just the beginning for the Shops at Beachwalk, the center point of several residential neighborhoods, including Atlantica Isles, The Landing at Beacon Lake, and Creekside at Twin Creeks. Other eateries expected to open in the developing shopping center include Huey Magoo’s, Kilwin’s, and possibly Fysh Bar & Grill, although the company recently filed for bankruptcy. Also coming into the area are a new KLA School and Mad Wash car wash.
While Tupelo hasn’t entered Florida yet, that doesn’t mean the company isn’t focused on expanding. With at least 22 locations throughout the country, Tupelo Honey is focused on finding the right locations before expanding. The company plans to open new locations in Huntsville, AL; Farragut, TN; Columbia, SC; Lenexa, KS; Concord, NC; Lexington, KY; and Louisville, KY. When these locations open, customers can expect chef-inspired Southern cuisine, such as famous fried chicken, chicken & waffles, brunch, sandwiches, burgers, and plenty more.
