Ooh Oui Ice Cream and Juices is a small, family-run ice cream shop that plans on tapping into the authentic time-honored tradition of selling scoops.

The shop is owned by Kendra and Ty Burke who have taken their dream of owning an ice cream store into a reality.

First, however, they started making ice cream for their children, who of course were happy to test the product.

“We’ve been making ice cream at home for years ever since my kids were babies,” Kendra Burke told What Now Jacksonville in an interview.

With classic homemade flavors like key lime pie, caramel apple cheesecake, banana pudding, and PB & jelly, as well as infused flavors like Baileys Island, with Baileys Irish Cream and Rum Raisin—Ooh Oui Ice Cream has something for both adults and children.

Additionally, the little shop will be selling freshly squeezed juices with beet, kale, carrot, and more.

Because the location will be near a fitness center it made sense to include a healthier option, Kendra said. She will also be including vegan ice cream and plans to partner with the Department of Children and Families for community involvement activities with her business, as she one day sees herself fostering.

“We want to accommodate everyone,” Burke said.

Ooh Oui will be located at Westland Park Plaza 6000 Lake Gray Blvd #19, between Bealls and Once Upon a Child. It has tentative plans to open at the beginning of 2023.
