Founder Natasha Burton officially closed the doors to its original location at 2251 Oak Street on March 15, a day after “Pi Day,” in which she baked more than 300 pies in celebration. Burton is now getting ready to relocate a few blocks away in the heart of Five Points, according to the Florida-Times Union. While there is no official opening date for the new location, Burton says it is expected to be soon, likely in Spring 2023. The new 1,500-square-foot Mixed Fillings Pie Shop will be twice the size of the Oak Street location.

This is a massive accomplishment for Burton, who opened the company in May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite opening during a difficult time, Burton gained so much popularity that Yelp and the Florida Times-Union ranked the shop the number one pie shop in Florida last year. Burton plans to keep the original location open and use it strictly as a kitchen. In both locations, the company will produce delicious pies with flavors such as Key lime, “Wake Me Up Before You Cocoa,” and “Beach, Don’t Kill My Vibe Coconut Cream.”

“I just want people to know that we are building this pie shop to be a place where everybody can sit at the bar,” Burton told the Times-Union last year when she first considered the expansion. “Everybody is welcome to sit, enjoy themselves and have a delightful time and have a discussion. We’re just building a pie shop for the community,”
