Indigo Road Hospitality Begins Work on Downtown Steakhouse

According to recent reporting in JBJ, the Charleston, South Carolina’s Indigo Road Hospitality Group has announced the future construction of an Oak Steakhouse on the first floor of the Greenleaf & Crosby Building Downtown in the former Jacobs Jewelers space at 204 N. Laura St. in downtown Jacksonville.

As it begins its work, Indigo Road hospitality and has set forth projections that the steakhouse will open in late 2025.

“The historic Greenleaf & Crosby Building is set to reclaim its former glory,” said Colliers NE senior director, Matthew Clark in a statement. “This project symbolizes a renewed confidence in downtown’s revival and its bright future.”

“The Oak will reflect the 100-year-old downtown Jacksonville location’s art-deco roots with sophisticated yet warm interiors,” the JBJ reports.

“On the menu, outstanding steakhouse classics are juxtaposed with contemporary starters and entrées – offered for lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch – developed by executive chef Travis Kirkley,” the brand states on its Atlanta location’s page. 

“Kirkley is passionate about regularly updating menu items to capitalize on seasonal produce provided by local and regional purveyors, farmers and fishermen. In an effort to provide guests with the best available cuts, Oak Steakhouse Atlanta features Prime Certified Angus® Beef cuts alongside a broad selection of contemporary small plates, salads and entrees.”

“Oak’s wine list highlights California Cabernet and Old World reds including a selection of Italian and Spanish wines, as well as a selection of artisan domestic wines. The cocktail program pays tribute to classic cocktail recipes, while enhancing the flavors with creative, modern ingredients. Oak offers a curated selections of beers, available on tap and in bottles, from local breweries.”

No exact opening date has been announced.
