Significant funding from the Jacksonville City Council and the Downtown Investment Authority have led to a serious renovation to the building, as developers have added a new exterior, ramp and steps and a retooled stage, updated restrooms and bars and additional interior modifications. Atop, a new roof and supporting structure with the cocktail lounge, according to the JBJ.
“That’ll be more lounge focused, softer music, beautiful view of the river,” said owner Eric Fuller. “It’s got its own dedicated entrance. It’ll be a completely separate experience than what we’re doing at Decca Live.”
It should be noted that the lounge portion of the establishment has not yet been named.
“As a UNF grad, I’ve always wanted to bring something impactful back to the city and create something that has the opportunity to be a catalyst for positivity. Music & the arts have the ability to do that and so much more,” Fuller wrote on Instagram.
“We have a wonderful team of people,” Fuller said. “My philosophy has always been to try to keep things simple and just put out the best product that you can with the best experience at the best price, and people will respond. For us, that comes down to talent. What’s the best talent that people want to see and experience? While they’re there, how can we provide them a great experience?”
