The company’s second Florida location will open in the former home of Destination Maternity, near Cooper’s Hawk and Sugar Factory, according to Jacksonville Times-Union. Gen Korean BBQ will join several other restaurants in the Markets at Town Center, including Bento, BurgerFi, Prati Italia, and more. The all-you-can-eat BBQ restaurant will surely be a hit in the shopping center when it opens, likely before the end of the year. A location is also in the works for Fort Lauderdale.
When the restaurant makes its Jacksonville debut, customers can expect an extensive menu featuring plenty of chicken, beef, and pork options, as well as traditional ban-chan, including Kimchi, Saeng Chae, and more. Everything is cooked at your table with the freshest ingredients. If you’ve never had Korean BBQ before, expect a wide array of complex flavors that will truly give your palate a new perception of taste.
Gen Korean BBQ was founded in 2011 and has expanded to over 30 locations in five states. The majority of its locations are in California, but the restaurant has sites in New York, Texas, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada, as well as the Philippines. Gen Korean BBQ is also working on a new Arizona location in Chandler. The locations in California and Arizona offer an extensive rewards program that results in gifts and cash rewards that can be used at the restaurant.
