The company appears to be moving into the home of Huey Magoo’s Chicken Tenders, according to plan review applications from the Department of Business & Professional Regulation. Franchisee Zach Presti tells What Now Jacksonville that the restaurant is still a few months away from opening but couldn’t provide an exact opening date. The company is also working on a new location in Inlet Beach at 12805 US HWY 98 through a different franchise owner.

Canopy Road Cafe already has seven locations throughout the state, mainly in Tallahassee, Jacksonville, and Tampa. The company specializes in traditional breakfast and lunch fare with fresh, funky, and innovative twists. Customers can expect all the common breakfast classics, such as pancake and egg options, as well as some summer specials, including Cinnamon Toast Crunch pancakes and chicken tinga omelet.

Considering how many other businesses are in the area, this will be an excellent location for the breakfast restaurant. Canopy Road Cafe will sit on the corner of Hartley and Old St Augustine Roads, near a Walmart-anchored shopping center. The company will have very little competition with this location, with The Table being the only related business. Canopy Road Cafe will bring a much-needed breakfast option to the area.
