A new mixed-use development project is starting construction soon, anchored around the 130-room Margaritaville hotel planned to be located on Country Road 110 in St. Johns County. One of the confirmed tenants will be the popular deli, Bagels R Us.
Beachwalk Retail Center LLC, a partnership between PEBB Enterprises and Falcone Group, announced back in Aug. 2022 that the project would be including the hotel, a 348-unit multifamily luxury apartment community, and a variety of restaurant businesses including Bagels R Us, Island Fin Poke, Whiskey Joe’s, Cold Stone Creamery, Union 76 Daybreak Market and more, as reported by the Jacksonville Daily Record.
Construction is to start no later than the first quarter of 2023. The development is slated to finish construction in 2024. Currently, there is no opening date confirmed.
This will be the fourth location of Bagels R Us in Jacksonville. According to their website, “Bagels R Us was established 20 years ago with the purpose of bringing a little piece of New York to Jacksonville. We carry on that tradition today by scratch-baking bagels using the Kettle Boil and Bake method, mixing all of our cream cheese, and using fresh cracked eggs for breakfast.”
Bagels R Us currently serves a variety of breakfast and lunch offerings on their menu, including sandwiches, omelettes, French toast, and of course, bagels.
A representative from PEBB Enterprises told What Now Jacksonville that the project is moving along as planned. An exact address is pending, however the development will neighbor the Crystal Lagoon beach club at 1000 County Rd 210.
